General Terms and Conditions of Business (GTCB)

1. Applicability

These General Terms and Conditions of Business shall apply to the hiring of rooms, as well as to all further services and supplies associated therewith which are provided by Hotel Simi Zermatt AG to a client. All offers of the Hotel Simi shall be based on these GTCB. These GTCB shall constitute an integral part of any agreement which is entered.

2. Conclusion of The Agreement

Any amendments to these GTCB shall require the express written agreement of the parties. Should these GTCB conflict with any contractual terms of the client, these GTCB shall take precedence over such conflicting terms.

3. Performance / Payment / Prices

  • The Hotel Simi undertakes to provide the services requested by the client which Hotel Simi has agreed in writing to provide. If, for whatever reasons, Hotel Simi has no room available on arrival day, then Hotel Simi shall provide a room of equal value in another hotel. Any additional costs related to the allocation will be taken over by Hotel Simi. Should the guest disagree to the new allocation, Hotel Simi must refund the prepaid amount. Further claims of the guest do not exist.
  • All prices shall be in Swiss francs (CHF) and shall include value added tax (VAT) in the statutory rate. Additional city tax or other possible taxes per guest per night are not included in the statutory rate.
  • Hotel Simi shall be entitled at any time to demand an appropriate advance payment. The amount of such advance payment and the date by which it must be paid shall be agreed in writing in the agreement. Should the client not comply with their obligation to make such an advance payment by the due date, Hotel Simi, after having stipulated an appropriate further period for compliance, shall be entitled to withdraw from the agreement.
  • Group reservations subject to different conditions agreed by writing.
  • Non Refundable bookings will be charged in total of 100% from a credit card.
  • To the extent that no advance payment is demanded by Hotel Simi, the entire invoiced amount shall be paid in full before departure at the latest.
  • In case of incorrect booking due to the Booking System (essential error of explanation) the rate is void. Hotel Simi reserves the right to cancel the booking without compensation.

4. Room handover – return

Booked rooms are available to the guest on arrival day from 15:00. In case of arrival after 20:00 the guest must inform the Hotel. On departure day the room must be handed over till 11:00. Groups must check out until 10:00.

5. Liability

The client shall be liable to Hotel Simi for all damage and loss, caused by themselves or other third parties.

The client shall be obliged to keep the peace and maintain order.

Hotel Simi shall not be liable for the theft or damage of property which is brought onto its premises by the client. Hotel Simi recommends all values, money and jewellery be locked in the safe. Should a damage or loss not be reported on time, Hotel Simi accept no claims.

6. Withdrawal of the client from the agreement

The cancellation of hotel room reservation must be communicated in writing to Hotel Simi as early as possible. The following cancellation conditions shall apply both to the cancellation of reservations and to any non-appearances of which the Hotel has not been informed (no-shows), as well as in the event of early departures.

Free cancelation period: 28 days prior arrival in the winter season. 7 days prior arrival in summer season.

In case of a cancelation out of those specified dates, Hotel Simi will charge 100% of the total amount. This applies also for delayed arrivals and early departures.

7. Impeded journey

Should force majeure (Flood, Avalanches, Earthquakes. Etc.) make it impossible for the client to use the agreed services, they may withdraw entirely or partially from the agreement in respect of that part of the agreement which remains to be performed, without being under an obligation to pay any compensation. The guest must prove the fact of impossible arrival and must pay for the dates the arrival is possible.

8. Dog ownerschip

Dogs are welcome in the hotel. Guests with dogs are obliged to keep their dogs properly. Dogs are not allowed in the breakfast room and wellness area.

9. Subject to change

Hotel Simi expressly reserves the right to alter its general Terms and Conditions. To avoid conflict due to translation, the German Terms and Conditions are applying.
