You should not miss out on the celebrations for the Swiss National Holiday. It is celebrated in traditional manner in the three municipalities (Randa, Täsch and Zermatt): local clubs present their arts.
The highlight in Zermatt starts at 22.00 as the large fireworks display illuminates the sky.
